Mainstay are working with a fantastic large-scale service provider within Facilities Management who are looking for a Service Manager for a large single site in Portsmouth. You will be overseeing the delivery of all the planned and reactive maintenance on-site and supporting the operational team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong hard services background ideally working their way up from the tools or a trade background. They will be passionate about delivering a high level of service and standards.

Role

  • You will be working on a large single site and reporting to the Built Estate Manager.
  • You will be overseeing the reactive and planned maintenance across the site ensuring KPIs are met and tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • You will be responsible for conducting inspections across the site as and when required.
  • Reviewing all inspection reports and certification-raising remedial tasks are actioned by the CAFM system.
  • Overseeing all the compliance on site and ensuring all staff are adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Ensuring that all billable works are carried out on-site and working closely with the Small Works Project Manager to deliver small projects when needed.
  • Working closely with authorised persons on-site so that all work adheres to health and safety.
  • Provide technical advice when needed to the wider team and engineers on site.
  • Carry out the duties of an Asbestos Responsible Person and Legionella Person.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption on site.
  • Manage the FGAS and waste compliance on-site and deliver the grounds maintenance.
  • Act as the point of contact for the client and escalations.
  • Act as on-call manager when needed.

Candidate

  • Previous experience within a similar role essentially and ideally with the FM or built estate environment.
  • ONC / BTEC level qualification in electrical/mechanical engineering or related discipline and ideally hold IOSH or NEBOSH.
  • Experience using CAFM systems and strong knowledge and skill with Microsoft Suite.
  • Technical background and experience in managing hard services and ground maintenance.
  • Will have acted as the Asbestos / Legionellosis person previously or competent in doing so.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to keep up to date with forms compliance and new legalisation.
