Our client is an FM service provider who specialises in cleaning and security for various sectors across the North West. Due to expansion, they looking for a Bid Manager to help build their business and have a key influence over their future.
The successful candidate will have the passion, enthusiasm, and drive to look beyond the obvious. You should be a self-motivated individual who isn’t afraid of a challenge, and be results-driven with an entrepreneurial spirit to find that winning approach.
Roles and responsibilities
- As the Bid Manager you will be responsible for sourcing new bid opportunities across the company’s various sectors
- You will be leading the bid management process from start to finish
- You will be organising bid strategy and preparation meetings with new and existing clients and putting together bid presentations
- Part of the role with be developing bid plans including resource coordination
- Writing quality responses and case studies
- Attending tender meetings and interviews
- Consolidating final submission and uploading to client portals within the allocated time frame
- You will be working closely with the Sales Manager and the rest of the operational team when needed
- Acting as the expert for all the bids that go out and be on hand to answer any questions from clients or internal staff
What will you need to do the role?
- Previous experience within Bid Management and experience of Bid writing with a broad knowledge of procurement processes
- Previous experience within Facilities Management ideally soft services a huge advantage
- Relevant Industry qualifications, Proficient in Microsoft Teams/Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail
- Customer focus, understanding the customers’ requirements then translating into a winning bid
- Proven ability to manage and win bids working to tight deadlines
- Ability to think innovatively to contribute new ideas
- Ability to author and edit quality response narratives for bid submissions
