Here at Mainstay Recruitment, we are looking for a Bid Writer with the vision and skills to help support the tender process for a growing client. The successful candidate will have the passion, enthusiasm, and drive to look beyond the obvious. You should be a self-motivated individual who isn’t afraid of a challenge, and be results driven with an entrepreneurial approach to finding that winning approach.
The role will be based in the office and you will be reporting to the Commercial Director.
Roles and responsibilities
- Sourcing new bid opportunities
- Organising bid strategy and preparation meetings to assist the bid manager
- Developing bid plans including resource coordination
- Leading the bid management process
- Writing quality responses and case studies
- Attending tender meetings and interviews
- Writing tender presentations
- Consolidating final submissions and uploading to client portals within the allocated time frame
Requirements
- Broad knowledge of procurement processes
- Be a creative writer
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer focus, understanding the customers’ requirements then translating into a winning bid
- Proven ability to manage and win bids
- Working flexibly and to tight deadlines
- Ability to think innovatively to contribute new ideas
- Ability to author and edit quality response narratives for bid submissions
- Be an effective communicator both written and verbal
- The desire to win and be the best
- Proficient in Microsoft teams/office including word, excel and PowerPoint
