Mainstay are working with a facilities management service provider who are looking for a qualified Electrician/Leader to work on one of their contracts based in central London. This will be working with a prestigious end client, so good customer-facing skills are required.

What are your responsibilities?

  • Carry out the planned preventative maintenance programme and ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines.
  • Take specific responsibility for the maintenance and operation of the site’s critical, electrical, mechanical and HVAC services.
  • Maintain a safe systems of work process and periodically update as may be required.
  • Manage and conduct fault finding across all engineering infrastructures.
  • Conduct all statutory system and asset testing and report accordingly.
  • Attendance may also be required occasionally outside normal hours to deal with certain maintenance procedures and specialist critical system contractors.
  • Will need to operate within and supervise a team covering shift working.
  • Deliver and comply with all statutory, company and client-specific environmental, health, safety and quality standards as applicable.
  • Expected to deliver a high level of customer-focused service and participated in additional training when required.
  • Liaise with, monitor and control the activities of all outside contractors working on site
  • Minimise the risk of plant failure and breakdown and promote a reliability-centred and conditioned-based proactive maintenance process.
  • Be responsible for and ensure the effectiveness of the shift team in terms of technical competency, HR, safety and service delivery.

What do you need?

  • Previous experience within the same role ideally working for a facilities management provider.
  • You will hold electrical your 18th edition qualification.
  • You will hold City and Guilds certificates (2365, 2391 etc.)
  • Experience working with HVAC/Cooling units is desirable
  • Good communication skills written and verbal with a good ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Good team player with the ability to work alone or alongside other people.
  • Will be required to work some evenings occasionally for up to 1 week.
  • Ability to work shifts across the day
