Mainstay have an amazing new role for an experienced Electrician to join a great service provider covering one main site within the Salisbury area with occasional cover at different sites.

The role

• Work as part of the on-site engineering team with daily tasks allocated via tablet device or paper-based task instruction. 
• Undertake statutory, mandatory and planned preventative maintenance tasks safely and efficiently.
• Carry out reactive repairs/callouts on critical assets in a timely manner. This will involve participating in an on-call rota to cover emergency call-outs during non-core hours.  
• Completing compliance activity and minor works in accordance with JSP375.
• Undertaking minor installation works e.g., refurbishment projects.  
• Ensuring all H&S documentation (RAMS) are present prior to engaging the task. 
• Reviewing and contributing to risk assessments and method statements.
• Working from drawings, specifications and other documentation without the need for direct supervision.
• Notifying management of any defects on equipment or systems.
• Attending team briefs, toolbox talks and technical bulletins.  
• Mentorship of apprentices.

Candidate requirements

• Relevant electrical qualifications, City and Guilds 2365, 18th edition
• Knowledge of COSHH and RIDDOR
• City and Guilds 2391 – essential
• Highly motivated, with strong attention to detail
• Must be confident working on your own or as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Must have a full clean UK licence
