Mainstay is currently working with a great company who are looking for a Building Fabric Engineer to join their team and cover 6 sites across East Midlands. If you are a Fabric Engineer and have experience in maintaining fabric works such as joinery, carpentry, plumbing, basic electrics, patch plastering, and painting and are looking for a company that will support your career and development then look no further.  

• As a Fabric Engineer, you will cover fabric maintenance tasks across commercial properties across Nottingham and Derby.
• The tasks you will perform as a Fabric Engineer will include areas such as plumbing, carpentry, door fixing, tiling, painting, and maintenance.
• You will be completing pre-planned and reactive work.
• Assist in project planning, estimation, and stock control.
• Assist other trades such as electrical and mechanical departments.
• You will ensure that all jobs are completed to a high standard within the given time frame.
• You will be responsible for ensuring health and safety when completing all jobs.

Candidate

• Fabric qualifications such as carpentry, plumbing, and joinery – desirable
• Previous experience within a similar environment is an advantage with an FM service provider background
• Strong work ethic and desire to progress and build on existing experience
• Must be able to work on their own to complete tasks
• Excellent customer-facing skills
• Good communication, both verbal and written
• Full UK driver’s license
