Mainstay Recruitment is currently working with a great company who are looking to recruit a Gas Manager to cover multiple sites in and around Aldershot. The role of a Gas Safety Manager will be to implement, administer, monitor, and audit the application of the safe system of work as defined by the Gas Safety Case for the nominated disciplines.

Duties

• Develop, implement, and enforce gas safety policies and procedures per regulatory standards and best practices.
• Advise colleagues, management, and the client on gas safety matters, and any deficiencies in the safe systems of work, which could prevent the estate from being maintained in a safe condition.
• Work collaboratively with the project teams on matters related to existing installations and their interaction with new works.
• Audit the implementation of gas safety in the nominated disciplines.
• Ensure that all responsible persons are issued with any relevant health and safety warning notices, technical bulletins, or revisions to the gas safety case, which affect them.
• Maintain all relevant paperwork e.g. training records, log books.
• Ensure all health and safety are compliant and adhered to on-site and manage P1 incidents, maintain a tracker, and support the RP`s on the closure of these incidents.
• To audit and review each RPs operational experience at six-monthly intervals before re-appointment and at other times as necessary. Issue audit summary reports and action plans.

Candidate requirements

• The candidate must have relevant qualifications, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1 Gas Safe Registered
• Relevant experience as a manager or supervisor
• Will need to work towards I Eng or C Eng to fulfil the role
