Here at Mainstay, we are happy to bring a new role as Technical Services Manager for our ever-expanding client. If you are looking to work in a fast-paced and new environment then this could be for you. On a critical site, this role will add experience to any current manager’s skillset.

Key Accountabilities

  • You are in charge of overseeing the delivery of reactive & programmed maintenance on the establishment to ensure KPIs are met and tasks are completed to a standard that meets the contractual requirements.
  • Responsible for managing and reporting technical compliance in line with the contract mechanisms.
  • Line manage a team of Engineers and Operatives.
  • You will be responsible for supporting the training and development of current members of your team. You will also be expected to help deliver a good team mentality and assist engineers.
  • Always providing technical support and advice as required to DIO and HoE representatives.
  • You will want to make sure that all H&S documentation (RAMS) are present prior to both line-managed teams and subcontractors being sent to work.
  • You will be delivering projects as directed by Line Manager.
  • You will review all inspection reports and certifications raising the necessary remedial tasking and ensuring that statutory remedials are correctly identified and actioned on the CAFM.
  • If you are required, then provide technical supervisor signatures on inspection reports, such as EICRs and mechanical plant servicing.
  • Acting as an On-Call Services Manager as required.

Skills

  • Mechanical/electrical qualifications – multi-skilled desirable but will consider single-trade applications – Desirable
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements including COSHH and RIDDOR – Desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Hold an SMTS or be willing to upskill towards one.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing contractors’ maintenance and or construction environment – Desirable
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Ability to self-motivate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of working on mechanical/electrical assets within a commercial environment
  • Accredited first aid qualification
  • Accredited health and safety qualification
  • Membership of a relevant professional body
